Expansion Plans Include Physician Recruitment and Advanced Cardiac Technology
(UCBJ) – Tennessee Heart (TH) has returned to an independent, physician-led practice, according to a release from the company.
“Middle Tennessee continues to grow, and with that comes a growing need for cardiovascular care close to home,” said Vertilio Cornielle, M.D., of Tennessee Heart. “This transition gives us the ability to think long term about what our communities will need five, 10 and 20 years from now. That means recruiting the next generation of cardiologists, expanding access to specialized services and continuing to invest in the people and programs that allow patients to receive outstanding care without leaving the region.”
TH has served patients across the region for more than 50 years and will continue operating under the Tennessee Heart name from its existing locations. It will keep the same team of physicians, including:
- Dr. Mariano Battaglia
- Dr. Stacy Brewington
- Dr. Alex Case
- Dr. Vertilio Cornielle
- Dr. Adrian Danchenko
- Dr. Brian Dockery
- Dr. Brent Klinkhammer
- Dr. Carlos Podesta
- Dr. Noel Torres
- Dr. William Wassynger
- Dr. Mark Wathen
TH says it plans to recruit additional physicians, expand access to specialized cardiovascular services and invest in advanced technology designed to improve patient care.
