Cookeville Headquarters And Service Center Employees Honored Through Weeklong Celebration
(UCBJ) – As part of its commitment to showing appreciation for associates and fostering a positive work environment, Averitt recently celebrated another edition of its “Operation: Thank You Week” festivities.
The event has become an annual tradition after beginning in the summer of 2021.
From June 14-20, associates in Cookeville were treated to a day with Baskin-Robbins ice cream, another day featuring a cookout at its service center on Salem Road and more festivities. Additionally, throughout Averitt’s network, facilities brought in food trucks, hosted cookouts and provided other events to say thank you.
“‘Operation: Thank You Week’ continues to be about celebrating the important role our associates play in all we do,” said Barry Blakely, Averitt’s president and chief operating officer. “Showing appreciation is a key part of our culture, and we want to ensure our teammates understand how thankful we are for them every day.”
In Cookeville, Averitt’s corporate campus on Neal Street is home to more than 800 associates, including about 275 who have served 20-plus years. At Averitt’s Cookeville service center on Salem Road, there are 39 associates, including 25 members of the “Over 20 Team.”
“We believe that longevity is made possible in part because of our positive work environment,” said Blakely. “Celebrations like these are just part of the overall value of being an Averitt associate.”
