Supporters And Businesses Can Make An Immediate Difference By Contributing Directly
By: Heather Thomas
Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation’s Nov. 10 Double Day offers $45,000 in matching gifts and invites businesses and supporters to multiply community impact. A single charitable contribution can help a patient reach lifesaving treatment, provide essential medical equipment or support a family facing unexpected financial hardship. On Nov. 10, that generosity can go twice as far.
Through its annual Double Your Donation Day, the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Charitable Foundation is inviting supporters and businesses to turn individual acts of generosity into a broader community investment. Gifts made through midnight Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $45,000, potentially generating $90,000 in combined charitable support for patients and families throughout the region’s 14 counties.
As the campaign approaches, supporters and businesses can make an immediate difference by contributing directly and encouraging others to participate.
“This is an opportunity for our community to come together and help neighbors who are facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances,” said John Bell, Executive Director of the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation. “A $50 donation becomes $100, and a $250 gift becomes $500 to help local patients and families. Every gift makes a difference.”
Turning Business Generosity into Critical Community Support
Upper Cumberland businesses and employers have an opportunity to extend the reach of Double Your Donation Day by encouraging participation among their employees, customers and community networks. Businesses can make direct contributions, share the campaign through workplace communications and social media or encourage employees to participate individually.
These simple acts of engagement can help broaden awareness of the matching opportunity and increase the resources available to patients and families facing medical and financial hardships.
Participation in this fundraiser represents more than a charitable contribution. It is an investment in the community’s health and stability.
Supporting Patients and Strengthening Communities
The Foundation’s charitable programs address needs that extend beyond medical treatment alone. Its Cancer, Heart, Pediatric, Hospice, Diabetes, Mental Health and General Assistance funds help patients and families access medications, medical services, transportation, equipment and essential household assistance.
The Foundation’s reported impact includes 4,414 patients helped through healthcare support and assistance programs. The broader community initiatives include preventive cancer screenings, a medical equipment closet, community health programs and Carmen’s Fund, which has provided 844 individuals with free American Heart Association CPR certification training.
These distinct areas of impact demonstrate how charitable giving can support both immediate healthcare needs and long-term community safety.
The Foundation’s work also reflects Cookeville Regional Medical Center’s role as a collaborator and catalyst, connecting healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, schools, businesses and community supporters around a shared commitment to improving quality of life throughout the Upper Cumberland.
A Foundation of Compassion: A Community Investment That Stays Local
Behind every patient helped and every individual equipped with lifesaving skills is a community that recognizes the importance of caring for its neighbors.
The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation transforms that compassion into meaningful support, connecting charitable generosity with resources that strengthen the health, safety and well-being of Upper Cumberland families.
For supporters and businesses, that compassionate commitment and the quality of assistance create a direct connection between generosity and community impact. It also reinforces the importance of community partnerships in sustaining programs that serve patients and families throughout the region’s 14 counties.
That is the significance of Double Your Donation Day. The campaign offers an opportunity to multiply the resources available to patients and families while strengthening a network of compassion that reaches across the Upper Cumberland.
Your Gift. Twice the Impact. Stronger Community. November 10!
“Whether it is helping a child receive needed medical care, supporting someone undergoing cancer treatment, or helping a family manage essential expenses during an illness, these gifts provide hope and practical help when it is needed most,” Bell said. “Please give what you can and help us make twice the difference for our neighbors.”
A foundation of compassion is built through the collective commitment of a community. On Nov. 10, supporters and businesses can strengthen that foundation together.
Supporters and businesses can participate in Double Your Donation Day by visiting SmartBank on Interstate Drive, www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org, calling 931-783-2003 or mailing contributions to CRMC Foundation, 1 Medical Center Blvd., Cookeville, TN 38501.
