Microbrewery talks importance of customers

Cookeville – It’s the season of giving, where family and friends come together to eat, drink and celebrate. Family doesn’t necessarily mean uncles, aunts and long lost cousins, it can also mean many other things.

Every year, Red SIlo Brewing Company in Cookeville honors their “cup club” members with a “Thanksgiving type get together” event on Nov. 22 specifically designed to give thanks to their “cup Club” members. The menu at this fall celebration wont only be your standard fare, however.

“Mark and Jim will slave over the smoker to provide the delicious meat and sides” said Red SIlo’s Alexis Johnson to the Upper Cumberland Business Journal (UCBJ). “One year we did a pigturducken. It is a great evening to meet new cup members or spend time with the ones we know.

It’s always a party at Red Silo, but once a year it’s a chance to celebrate “family”.

“We love doing events like this,” continued Johnson. “Our customers truly become family here. Just simply being here has brought so many great people into our lives. Being a cup club member also gives someone the opportunity to cup mingle with other members.”

The fellowship of Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the beginning of retail and buying season, make Cookeville a hotbed of activity, life and family. Red Silo understands the importance of events like “Cupsgiving” to the community.

“Events like this are so important for the Cookeville community,” said Johnson. “As we have all learned, when tragedy strikes, this community rallies together and helps anyway they can. Events like this give people a chance to meet someone they may not have otherwise.”

Want to become a member of the Red SIlo family? Becoming a cup member is easy, and they would love to see you at their “Cupsgiving” table.

“We encourage anyone to come and join our cup club membership,” proclaimed Johnson. “We love getting to know new people and hope others will love it here as much as we do.”
