Clay County has highest unemployment number in state

There wasn’t much change in Unemployment numbers in all 14 Upper Cumberland counties in March.

Warren County increased from 3% to 3.6% last month. Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland dropped to 3.9% from 4% in February, while Cannon County still sits at 2.6%, and Clay increased to 4.6% in March.

DeKalb County landed at 3.6%. Fentress sits at 3% a month ago while Van Buren landed at 3.7%. Jackson County stands at 3.5%, and Macon County’s number increased slightly to 2.5% from 2.3% in February.

Overton landed at 3.3% while Putnam sits at a 3%, slightly up from 2.9%. Smith County landed at 2.7%. White County sits at 3% while Pickett dropped to 3.7%, down from 4.2%.
