Project Represents Continued Investment in Cookeville With New Jobs and Expanded Dining Options Ahead of Planned October Opening
(UCBJ) – A new McDonald’s restaurant is set to become one of the first commercial additions to the highly anticipated Willows Shopping Center development. The fast-food chain will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at 1124 S. Willow Avenue.
The restaurant will be owned and operated by Funderburk Family McDonald’s and constructed by Venture Construction and join Target and Home Depot at The Willows Shopping Center development.
The McDonald’s is projected to open in October 2026.
“We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new McDonald’s on South Willow Avenue, owned and operated by Funderburk Family McDonald’s,” according to the Chamber.
The project represents a significant investment on Cookeville’s south side.
“This project marks another great investment in our community, bringing new opportunities for jobs, dining and continued economic growth,” according to the Chamber.
Community members, business leaders and officials are expected to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
