Doug Kreulen To Deliver Keynote On Tennessee’s Infrastructure Growth And Aviation Expansion
(UCBJ) – The Tennessee Chamber’s 2026 Infrastructure Summit will address business leaders, policymakers and infrastructure professionals, focusing on how Tennessee’s rapid population and economic growth is reshaping long-term infrastructure demands.
Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, will be the lunch keynote speaker on July 14 in Franklin. His remarks will highlight the critical role aviation, freight movement and regional connectivity play in supporting the state’s expanding economy.
As leader of Nashville International Airport, Kreulen has overseen one of the most significant expansion efforts in the airport’s history, providing a firsthand perspective on the scale of investment and long-term planning required to meet future demand.
“Doug has led the Nashville International Airport through one of the most significant expansion efforts in its history, providing a unique perspective on the infrastructure investments and partnerships required to meet Tennessee’s growing needs,” organizers said in announcing the keynote.
The keynote will also focus on how strategic infrastructure planning supports economic development, strengthens business growth and positions Tennessee for continued competitiveness.
In addition to the keynote address, the summit will feature a Mayors Panel bringing together leaders from across Tennessee to discuss infrastructure priorities at the local level, project delivery and regional collaboration.
This year’s panel will include Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, who will join other municipal leaders in discussing how cities and counties are preparing for continued growth and advancing key transportation, utility and development projects.
Jacobs will contribute to the discussion on regional coordination and infrastructure planning as communities work to meet increasing demand across East Tennessee and beyond.
Panelists will also examine how local governments are partnering with state agencies and neighboring jurisdictions to address long-term infrastructure challenges tied to population and economic expansion.
The Infrastructure Summit is scheduled for July 14 in Franklin.
