COOKEVILLE – Over the past two years, J. Cumby Construction has been chosen by Tennessee Tech University for several campus improvement projects, including renovations to Southwest Hall, MS Cooper Hall and Pinkerton Hall. That partnership continues with J. Cumby’s selection for a major renovation to South Hall.
The mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems are all being replaced. The $4.342 million project is scheduled to wrap up in late September.
“Our team is committed to delivering outstanding service and building lasting partnerships with our customers, just like we’ve done with Tennessee Tech,” said Justin Cumby, owner of J. Cumby Construction and a 2005 graduate of Tennessee Tech. “South Hall offers many services to students, faculty and staff, and the renovation will ensure that tradition continues well into the future.”
Originally the Home Economics building, South Hall currently houses offices and classrooms for the School of Agriculture, the School of Home Ecology, and the Department of Foreign Languages. The Friday Cafe is also located in South Hall.
