E Com is a leader in the manufacturing of laboratory and industrial seating

Cookeville – 30 years ago, E Com Seating (E Com), a third generation, family-owned company, opened their doors. The year was 1993 and the company, started by Scott Ebersole and his father, Lowell Ebersole, began the task of providing laboratory and industrial seating as a private label supplier.

Over the last 30 years, they expanded production from laboratory and industrial seating to office, medical and their fastest growing division, controlled environment seating for clean room and ESD, according to a release from E com. Some of their clients are Google, NASA, Merck and Columbia University. They even appeared on the television show Grey’s Anatomy.

Last year E Com produced over 41,000 chairs. What is Central to their product development?

“It is a focus on ‘Easy Ergonomics’,” said E Com in a release. “Which means our chairs are designed for comfort and are easy to use right out of the box. No complicated instructions. Our Seating products are manufactured in the United States, and the “QUICK-SHIP” program, which provides rapid shipments, includes all products not just select items. We pride ourselves in our work and provide a 15-year warranty, which is the best in the industry.”

In 2017 E Com won the Award of Excellence for the Best Private Label Partnership-Equipment from Fisher Scientific. Two years later they won the Fisher Science Education Award for Excellence for highest sales growth. Partnering with Private Label Customers to provide an online catalog, they have created the ‘Build A Chair’ app that allows customers to create the perfect chair for their needs.

A family affair – E com is a three generation company.
