Cookeville – Holly Freeman has stepped down from the executive director position at CityScape in Cookeville, and they are seeking applications to fill that position. Cityscape is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and enhance the historic downtown areas of Cookeville, TN.
Freeman has been with the nonprofit since 2019 and is returning to her roots in Nashville’s music and entertainment industry.
“It has been an honor to lead Cookeville’s nationally accredited Main Street program the last few years,” said Freeman. “I have enjoyed contributing to my hometown in this way and continuing the important work of downtown revitalization. I grew up in Cookeville, but I lived in Nashville for nearly fifteen years before returning home.”
Freeman said the new opportunity was something she couldn’t refuse.
“I am excited to take on a new role with Opry Entertainment Group as Sr. Manager of Brand Partnerships,” she said. “My time at CityScape has meant so much to me, but this was an opportunity I could not refuse in an industry I am also passionate about. One of the best parts of this new role is that my family and I will be able to remain Cookeville residents. I look forward to supporting CityScape’s cause in new ways as they continue to move our vibrant downtown forward.”
Tiffany Davidson, chair of the CityScape board, showed appreciation to Freeman.
“We want to thank Holly for her commitment and hard work to CityScape the last few years,” said Davidson. “It has been a challenging few years for nonprofits, and we applaud her for taking on those challenges. We are sad to see her go, but we are also excited for her. We know she will do great things.”
The executive director position is posted at www.cookevillecityscape.com. Applications will open today, Sept. 26 and will close on Oct. 14. Interested candidates can email their resume to ckvlcityscape@gmail.com.
