‘Whippersnappers’ play center planning July 12-13 grand opening in Crossville

CROSSVILLE – Looking for a spot for your children’s birthday party or a place where young imaginations can become real during open play? Whippersnappers, a new parent participation indoor play center for infants to 8-year-olds, is opening in the Woodmere Mall on Main Street.

Kids can dress up and use their imagination as they drive the fire truck, help animals get better at Abby’s Animal Hospital, be busy in a family kitchen, make and bake pizza at Molly’s Pizzeria, work in the barn at Ol’ McDonald’s farm, be the sheriff of the neighborhood or climb through the jungle on the climbing wall. A soft play area is available for the tiniest Whippersnappers.

A grand opening is planned for 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, July 12, and noon-6 p.m. July 13. There will be free open play, discounted party offers for events booked in person, cake, drinks and free toy drawings. The Crossville Fire Department is scheduled to show off its full size fire truck July 12 from 10-11 a.m.

Normal business hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Saturday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5 per child for all day play. A frequent visit card is available. For more information, call (931) 210-5181.
