In a social media world, the Flourished Palm looks to stand out amongst the crowd

Cookeville – If you see a neutral brown and cream colored ’62 VW bus cruising through your community, take a minute to see what’s inside. You may be glad you did.

The Flourished Palm is a flower shop on wheels and the brainchild of Abigail Dalton and her mother who has “always envisioned and dreamed of working with flowers in some way.” Dalton had a vision that would soon be reality, almost as if it was destined to be.

“We decided to start the business in Sept. of last year,” Dalton told the Upper Cumberland Business Journal. “I had the vision months before and just researched VW buses. We ended up finding this neutral brown and cream beauty! I fell in love with it, and it was meant to be ours.”

The “neutral brown and cream beauty” does pop-ups in and around Cookeville and books private events such as weddings, baby showers, bridal showers and birthday parties.

If you do what you love, you will never work a day of your life. Someone said that once, and Dalton is proof positive.

Mobile Flower Shop – Abigail Dalton digs through her VW Bus.

“I really enjoy working with flowers,” she said. “I was looking to find my passion and do something I love every day. Flowers bring happiness and joy into people’s lives. Who wouldn’t want to do that?”

Unique sells and local experiences are often not unique.

“Many people are seeking unique experiences, and the concept of our flower truck provides a refreshing alternative to traditional flower shops,” said Dalton. “It allows customers to enjoy the convenience of purchasing flowers on the go while providing an interactive and personalized experience.”

In a social media world, the Flourished Palm looks to stand out amongst the crowd.

“The aesthetic appeal and photogenic nature of flowers in a vintage VW bus can attract customers looking for visually appealing content to share on social media platforms,” admitted Dalton.

Grab and go – The Flourished Palm offers and interesting alternative to traditional flower shops.

The company looks to grow, especially in the event space. Dalton said she hopes to find a “storefront with a garage door to store the flower truck” and looks to hire someone to work the truck while focusing on larger-scale events.
