Tennessee Serves is building a playground in Clay County

From the desk of First Lady Maria Lee:

First Lady Maria Lee and her Tennessee Serves initiative are building a brand-new playground in Clay County and need your help! Come serve on Saturday, May 18 at Hermitage Springs Park as volunteers work together to build the playground in a day filled with fun and hard work!

Volunteer roles are available for all skill levels and abilities with activities including assembling play equipment, landscaping, painting murals, mixing concrete and more. Volunteers must be 14+ and childcare will be provided for potty-trained children under 14. Breakfast, lunch and water will be provided.

The playground will be a welcome addition to Hermitage Springs Park in Clay County, one of Tennessee’s eight federally designated distressed counties. This brand new, accessible playground will provide a place for joyful, safe play and encourage the community to gather with their neighbors.
