Twin Lakes will invest $162.7 million in broadband and digital opportunity grants. Of the total grant funding, Twin Lakes has been awarded a Middle Mile grant totaling $1,055,316 to expand coverage in Putnam County.

The project will complement existing and ongoing investments by Twin Lakes and TNECD, further bolstering fiber connectivity and economic growth in the region.

“We are honored to receive this grant, which will enable us to extend our reach and empower even more individuals and businesses in Putnam County with reliable fiber broadband access,” remarked Jonathan West, General Manager and CEO at Twin Lakes.

“This investment not only bridges the digital divide but also opens doors to new opportunities within the community.”

These endeavors form part of a comprehensive plan aimed at not only providing widespread internet access but also fostering digital literacy, enabling workforce development and enhancing access to essential services such as telehealth and online education.

“This project further removes limitations for growth positioning Putnam County to be at the forefront of technological advancements, making them an attractive destination for businesses and residents alike,” according to Twin Lakes.
