Publix announces grand opening

COOKEVILLE – Publix Super Markets recently announced the grand opening of its new store at The Shoppes at Eagle Point Shopping Center. The grocery complex will open to the public Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 7 a.m.

Ricky Shelton, Cookeville Mayor, and Randy Porter, Putnam County Executive, will preside over the ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:45 a.m.

“Publix hangs its hat on providing excellent customer service and a unique shopping experience for our customers,” said Brenda Reid, Media and Community Relations Manager for Publix. “We are proud to open our new location in Cookeville.”

Publix will be the first store in The Shoppes at Eagle Point, located at 1265 Interstate Dr., to open its doors. This new location will be a 45,900 square-foot store, with an estimated 120 associates working there. Regular store hours will be 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
