Cookeville Operation Is Identity Group’s original Manufacturing Campus
(UCBJ) – Identity Group Holdings Corp. (IDGHC) has filed an official Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, notifying the state of a permanent closure of its Cookeville operation effective Oct. 20, 2026.
The closure and resulting layoffs are expected to affect at least 63 employees at the company’s corporate office facility at 1480 Gould Drive, according to the WARN filing.
Founded in the 1950s, IDGHC manufactures interior signage and other custom identity products for customers nationwide. The company’s Cookeville facility is its original manufacturing campus. The Tennessee WARN system is used to report qualifying plant closures and mass layoffs. Employers generally must provide advance notice when a plant closing or mass layoff is expected to affect at least 50 employees within a 30-day period.

“The employees at the facility are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement and do not have bumping rights. The Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Area rapid response team, employed by the Upper Cumberland Local Workforce Development Board, has been notified to coordinate services with the employer and affected employees."
Identity Group operates three manufacturing campuses, including facilities in Brunswick, Maine, and Wichita, Kansas, with more than 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space nationwide.
