Local McDonald’s Owner/Operator, Funderburk Family McDonald’s, will celebrate the opening of its newest restaurant at 1201 N. Washington Avenue with a weeklong event designed to thank the Cookeville community.
The Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will be on hand.
“Join us to celebrate the grand opening of the new McDonald’s on Washington Ave.!” according to the Chamber.
The celebration will include:
- food giveaways
- themed days honoring local health care workers and schools
- family-friendly activities
- weekend of hourly prizes, surprises
“Community members are encouraged to join in the celebration and help welcome this new location to our area,” according to the Chamber.

Special appearances will include:
- Cookeville High School Band
- CHS Dance Team
- Jere Whitson Elementary Choir
“Community members are encouraged to join in the celebration and help welcome this new location to our area,” according to the Chamber.
On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, guests can win exciting prizes such as Apple AirPods, McDonald’s gift cards, Amazon gift cards, and a TV, alongside special Valentine ’ s-themed menu offers, the company said.
Grand Opening Celebration Week offers include:
- Monday, Feb. 9 – CRMC Day
Guests with a valid Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) ID can receive a free breakfast or lunch sandwich from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Feb. 10 – CHS Day
Guests with a valid Cookeville High School (CHS) ID can enjoy a free medium McCafé beverage from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 11 – TTU Day
Guests with a valid Tennessee Tech University (TTU) ID can receive a free hash brown or medium fry from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 12 – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Official Grand Opening celebration at 11 a.m.
- Friday, Feb. 13 – Prizes Every Hour!
Hourly giveaways and surprises throughout the day.
- Saturday, Feb. 14 – Sweetheart Saturday
Valentine’s Day specials include BOGO 10-piece McNuggets, BOGO Cupid Cookies, and random prize giveaways.
