Restaurant and bar is expanding reach over the next quarter

Cookeville – Drake’s plans to open a location in Cookeville very soon. The plans presented to the City of Cookeville show the new restaurant will be located next to Panda Express in the Shoppes at Eagle Point.

The restaurant specializes in “Burgers and Sushi”, but also serves salads and chili, smashed burgers, steaks, and sandwiches along with craft cocktails. It has been touted as a restaurant that loves beer, and a bar that loves food.

Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter says Putnam County and the City of Cookeville have worked hard at making the area a destination for growth and expansion.

“I am always happy to see new restaurants and businesses coming to our County,” said Porter. “We have worked hard to create a business friendly environment, and I think it shows with all the new businesses opening here.”

Drake’s is expanding their reach over the next quarter with plans to open restaurants in Jeffersonville, IN and O’Fallon Missouri in the Spring and Summer of 2023.

Once those additions and the Cookeville location open for business, Drake’s will have 22 locations across the country. They have four locations in TN including restaurants in Franklin, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Bristol as well as locations in Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana and Illinois.

Co-owner Bruce Drake’s brainchild started after he, “couldn’t sleep one night. So he grabbed his keys and went out in search of a good burger and good music in the kind of place he’d want to hang out in at any hour. To his surprise, that place didn’t exist,” according to https://drakescomeplay.com/

The corporate office is located at 866 Malabu Drive, Suite 250, Lexington, KY. For more information, call 859-335-6500.
