Crossville Chamber selects Hadley as new President/CEO

CROSSVILLE –In a special called Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, the board of the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce voted to select Ethan Hadley as the chosen candidate for president/CEO and to begin contract negotiations with him. The vote was 10-0, with three members abstaining.

Hadley has over 15 years of experience in the area of economic development. He currently lives in Lawrence County, Tennessee and serves as an economic development consultant. His previous experience includes serving as the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce president and economic developer, and from 2004 to 2013 he served as Vice President of Economic Development for the Huntsville, Ala. Chamber of Commerce. 

Hadley also spent five years living in Tokyo, Japan serving first as a teacher then working in advertising and industrial recruitment for the state of Alabama. Hadley is fluent in Japanese.

Following the vote to select Hadley, the board met in private executive session to begin discussing salary and benefit options to present in contract form to him.

Interim President/CEO David Rutherford announced that his last day with the chamber will be Sept. 27.
