Founded In 1946, Business Continues Legacy of Personalized Memorials In Cookeville
(UCBJ) – The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will host a ribbon-cutting for Vaughn’s Monument Works (VMW) on Thursday, July 9, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at 567 E Spring Street in Cookeville.
“Join us as we celebrate 80 years of Vaughn’s Monument Works, a family-owned and operated Cookeville business that has been serving our community with care and craftsmanship since 1946!”
Charles and Beatrice Vaughn founded VMW shortly after World War II.
“ … (following) Charles’s service in the Army Air Forces. What they built from the ground up has remained in the Vaughn family for three generations, with David Vaughn continuing the legacy today alongside his niece and nephew,” according to the Chamber.
Family-operated across multiple generations, the company still supports the community.
“Vaughn’s specializes in custom headstones, monuments, urns, cremation monuments, benches, vases, and pet memorials, with each piece handcrafted to be as unique as the person being honored. That same dedication to personalized, compassionate service has carried through every generation of the Vaughn family,” according to the chamber.
