Cookeville – Averitt Express recently hosted its 16th annual 5K and 1-mile walk at its corporate campus, with close to 200 associates and family members participating.
The 5K and 1-mile walk was a free event, and it included a superhero costume theme as well as prize drawings for gift cards, fitness apparel, Averitt swag items and more. In addition to the in-person event, associates from across Averitt’s network were able toparticipate in a virtual version of the 5K throughout September.
“The Averitt 5K and 1-Mile walk is a longstanding team tradition, and many of our associates compete every year,” said Averitt Vice President of Human Resources Elise Leeson. “It’s part of our commitment to giving associates and their families options to ‘Live Well’ and make healthy choices.”
In addition to the Averitt 5K and 1-Mile Walk, Averitt also hosts an annual softball tournament and golf tournament.
