Officials with Clayton Supply, part of Clayton, a leading national single-family homebuilder dedicated to opening doors to a better life through attainable homeownership, have announced the expansion of its door manufacturing operations in Morristown.
“Clayton Supply has been a valued partner to Tennessee for nearly 70 years. As one of our state’s largest private employers, I’m grateful for the company’s continued investment in our skilled workforce and am confident Clayton Supply will continue to find success in Morristown in the years to come,” said Governor Bill Lee.
The company will invest $6.8 million and create 90 new jobs as part of the project, nearly doubling its headcount in Hamblen County. The company’s current operation in Morristown, Clayton Morristown Lux Doors, builds doors for all 40 Clayton Home Building Group® homebuilding facilities in the U.S.

We opened in 2010 as a distribution and lamination center, launched Lux Doors 10 years later and now we’re continuing the momentum by expanding the Lux product line and lamination capabilities. This growth, which we owe to the dedication of the Clayton Morristown team and support from the community, will support our vision to become a leading, single-family national housing brand that opens doors to a better life through attainable homeownership for families across the country,” said Matt Stites, president, Clayton Supply, Inc.
Founded by Jim Clayton in 1956, the company produces a comprehensive range of modern manufactured and site-built housing.
