BUFFALO VALLEY – AMA Pro Racing, a premier dirt track racing series, announced this week the return of the AMA Pro Hillclimb series to Buffalo Valley. The event, which will be presented by Boswell’s Country Roads Harley-Davidson and Thunder Roads Magazine of Tennessee, is scheduled for Saturday, July 30.

Last year, the Pro Hillclimb series made its Tennessee debut the 2015 HOG (Harley Owners Group) Rally, held in Cookeville. In 2016, Hillclimb racing will be held in conjunction with the 4th annual Boswell’s Harley-Davidson HOG Rendezvous, a more exclusive event that includes day rides in the region and parties in the evening, July 28-30 in Cookeville.

“The 2015 event was a great success. Fans quickly spread the word and are excited to come back this year,” said Gary Bagwell, event coordinator. “The Upper Cumberland is known for its hospitality to all riders. We extend a warm welcome to everyone including fans, racers and their teams.”

Amanda Campbell, director of the Pro Hillclimb Series, said they hope to attract new fans at the event, a goal for organizers in recent years.

“The riders greatly enjoyed the facilities provided and competing on the 500-foot hill,” she said. “All of the fans were very welcoming and eager to learn about the bikes and the racers. The excitement of the fans brings an added energy level to the event.”
