Unemployment number dropped in all 14 counties of the Upper Cumberland

Upper Cumberland – Unemployment showed improvement in all 14 Upper Cumberland counties in December.

Warren County dropped 3.8% to 3% last month. Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland, Cannon County sits at 2.7%, down from 3.6% last month, while Clay remained at 4.1% in December. Cumberland County sits at 4.2% last month and DeKalb County landed at 3.7%, down from 4% in November.

Fentress dropped to 3.2% from 3.5% a month ago while Van Buren landed at 4.1%. Jackson County stands at 3.6%, and Macon County’s number dropped from 3% to 2.6%.

Overton landed at 3% while Putnam sits at a 3.1%, down from 3.5% in November. Smith landed at 2.8%.

White County sits at 3.3% while Pickett dropped from 4.7% in November to 4.2% last month and Coffee County landed at 3.1%.
