New business licenses down for the month
Putnam County – One year ago in December, Putnam County saw 49 new businesses licensed.
In 2023 that number dropped to 33, according to new numbers by Putnam County Clerk Wayne Nabors. Down from a year ago, and down from a month ago (new business listings in November sat at 42), licenses in the county seem to be trending in the wrong direction, but that number could be skewed by the holiday season.
Last month there were 18 manufacturing/service businesses and 15 new retail business licensed. The Sauna Place, Zillion Limo Service and Chico’s Chicken are highlights. Check out the list, and while you are at it check out last month’s list HERE and December 2022 HERE.
