Tech’s online MBA ranked in top 75 nationwide, top 2 in state

COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech’s online MBA program is #68 in the country in U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 “Best Online MBA Programs.”

“Tennessee Tech’s AACSB-accredited MBA Program continues to move up in the national rankings and we are proud to be listed among the best programs by numerous rating organizations – including US News & World Report,” said Thomas Payne, dean of the College of Business. “Most accredited business schools now offer some form of online or hybrid delivery; and, thanks to our outstanding faculty and staff, Tennessee Tech has established a national reputation as a leader in high-quality and high-value business education.”

Tech’s MBA program is the most popular graduate degree offered by the university in terms of enrollment, with 232 students enrolled either online or on-campus.

A total of 267 colleges are included in this U.S. News report. According to the publication, this report ranks the best online master’s degree programs in business administration, based on factors such as admissions selectivity, reputation for excellence among peer institutions, and academic and career support offered to students.

Seven schools in Tennessee are listed in the report. Only the University of Tennessee, Martin, bested Tech in the rankings.

In addition to the U.S. News rankings, the Tennessee Tech online MBA is ranked among the top accredited schools in the nation for affordability by a variety of rating organizations, including bestvalueschools.org, affordablecollegesonline.org and geteducated.com.

The college’s graduate programs include the MBA (with concentrations in human resources management, information systems, finance, marketing, and international business), an MBA for Healthcare Professionals, and a Master of Accountancy.

The College of Business, a leader in technology-focused business education, is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for its undergraduate, MBA and accounting programs.
