PUTNAM COUNTY – Tuesday night, Putnam County Commissioners will choose between seven residents of the Fifth District who have voiced their desire to fill the seat of former commissioner Terry Randolph who recently moved out of the district.
Those seeking appointment to fill the remainder of Randolph’s term which ends in August are Bobby Williams, Johnnie Wheeler, Vinnie Faccinto, Bruce Bailey, Junior Phipps, Tyna Bryan and Brandon Burgess. Both Williams and Wheeler have previously served as county commissioner.
Four of the candidates for the vacancy have picked up papers to run for election to serve a full term in the seat. Wheeler has picked up papers to run as an Independent candidate, while Bryan, Faccinto and Phipps are seeking nomination in the Republican primary.
