The Sunshine Award was created by the CRMC Patient Experience Team as a way to honor ancillary and support staff who commit to striving for excellence in their roles
“Congratulations to another Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Sunshine Award winner,” said Cookevill Regional Medical Center in a release.
Dana Sloan, technologist, is the latest recipient of the CRMC’s Sunshine Award.
“Her nominations reiterated her positive attitude and attentiveness to improving the visitor and patient experience,” said CRMC.
According to the nomination Sloane received she showed the most professional care the nominator had ever seen.
“I recently received a PET scan at CRMC,” said Dana’s nomination. “This employee showed the most professional care of any individual I have ever experienced. You can tell she loves what she does and loves helping people. I was very nervous about this scan as I am a cancer survivor. The kind words and compassion this lady showed were beyond words. I needed it that day, and she didn’t even know how much it meant. You could tell this is how she treats everyone. I don’t imagine she knows how much her compassion and kind words meant to a patient like me or the others she sees. God graced me with her that day! I think people like her need to be recognized. The world needs more like her.”
The Sunshine Award was created by the CRMC Patient Experience Team as a way to honor ancillary and support staff who commit to striving for excellence in their roles, consistently deliver exceptional care or service, uphold the highest standards and collaborate with other staff to enhance the experience of CRMC patients, family members and guests.
