Rose Awarded Prestigious ‘Guardian of Small Business Award’ by the National Federation of Independent Business

Washington – U.S. Representative of TN sixth district John Rose recently received the most prestigious legislative recognition from the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

“The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is presented to Members of Congress who have proven themselves to be real champions of small business,” said NFIB President and CEO Brad Close. “This Congress, small businesses emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic but faced continual threats of high inflation, workforce shortages and supply chain disruptions. These NFIB Guardians demonstrated strong support of small businesses on key issues.”

“I will always support pro-growth policies and oppose burdensome regulations and tax policies that stifle the entrepreneurial spirit on which the American dream was founded,” said Rep. Rose. “I am honored to receive this award and to represent many small businesses across Middle Tennessee in Congress.”

NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business Award is reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with small businesses on key issues identified by small business owners. Those who voted with small business on key issues 70% or more of the time during the 117th Congress earned the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award. NFIB informs lawmakers in advance which votes will be considered NFIB Key Votes and asks lawmakers to support the consensus views of NFIB members. NFIB also reminds lawmakers that the results will be reported back to the NFIB membership.
