Get Axed features nine throwing lanes

Thursday, Cookeville’s new axe throwing location celebrated its grand opening at 728 S Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville. Get Axed, a place to eat, drink, be merry and sling axes will officially open its doors Saturday, May 4 at Noon, but today the community showed up and showed out in anticipation.

“Today we celebrated Get Axed as they prepare for their grand opening this Saturday,” said the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.

Celebration – Get Axed opens on Saturday, May 4.

The bar features nine throwing lanes with many game options, 9 large-screen TVs and a selection of beers, ciders, soft drinks and food. “Located in the strip next to Walmart, they offer a great time in town,” said the Chamber.

Station – Get Axed has nine throwing stations.

“We want you to be as comfortable as possible, the only thing we ask is no open toed shoes – keeping all body parts safe is our top priority,” according to the company. “Other than that, come as you wish. Dress as a lumberjack or come in a suit, whatever you think will help you throw the most bullseyes and have the most fun!”
