25 permits worth $7 million worth of construction in the County issued in March

“March 2024 construction in Putnam County remained consistent, although not as strong as 2023,” said Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter in a statement regarding the state of construction in the county.

In March, there were 25 permits worth $7 million worth of construction in the County, 15 for new single-family residential homes. According to numbers by the Mayor, March 2023 had 34 permits for $8.7 million with 26 of those being new single-family homes. The number is down year-over year, but construction is still generating significant income which operates the Building Codes Department.

March permits generated $24,691 in fees. As is always the case, the numbers represent Putnam County, but do not include any of the four cities.
