Expansion continues in the Upper Cumberland

Wingstop is still expanding in the Upper Cumberland. Next stop: Crossville. Work has begun and is nearing completion at the Crossville location near Firehouse Subs at 3563 Peavine Road.

The 1,500-square-foot restaurant will be another location in the Upper Cumberland after opening a store in Cookeville a few years ago. Wingstop is a chain known for its made-to-order chicken wings, hand-cut fries and a variety of signature sauces.

The company says customer service is its top priority. Wingstop sales increased 16.8% last year to approximately $2.7 billion worldwide and have seen 19 consecutive years of sales growth.

The “system,” as described by Wingstop, is to grow independent franchises, like the new Crossville location. Franchises make up 98% of Wingstop’s 2,046 restaurants.

“A key to this business success and consumer fandom stems from the Wingstop Way, which includes a core value system of being authentic, entrepreneurial, service-minded and fun,” according to Wingstop.
