Building houses space for two businesses

According to sources, there is a strong possibility that the planned Cedar Recovery (CR) methadone clinic at 1806 Burgess Falls Road in Putnam County is a no-go. At least not now and not at that location. Following a disagreement in terms between the new property owners and the clinic, another entity (yet unknown) has signed a lease and has plans to move into the space, according to sources close to the situation.

Check back for details as they become available.

CR has eyed the space after it decided to move to the county following multiple failed attempts to set up shop in both Overton County and the city of Cookeville. Many Putnam County officials and citizens opposed the move after the Tennessee Health Facilities Board (THFB) voted 6-2 in 2024 to allow the clinic to proceed.

No more – Proposed Methadone clinic may be looking for a new home.

When the announcement was first made about the clinic moving to the county, the adjoining space was occupied by 931 Elite, a youth sports training facility, but that space is now Pioneer Heating and Cooling (PHC). As for now, it looks like the adjoining space may not be home to the Clinic, but if history has shown us anything, it’s that Cedar Recovery always has a contingency plan.

We will just have to wait and see where CR plans its next move.
