Pickett County has highest unemployment in area at 7%

Except for Pickett County, which jumped from 5.1% to 7%, the unemployment rate in Upper Cumberland changed little in February.

Warren County has a rate of 4%, up slightly from 3.9%. Elsewhere, Cannon County sits at 3.3%, down from 3.6% in the previous month, while Clay sits at 4.9%. Cumberland County sits at 5.4% and DeKalb County landed at 4.4%.

Fentress stands at 3.9% while Van Buren landed at 4.2%. Jackson County stands at 4.7% in February, and Macon County’s number stands at 3%. Overton stands at 4.1% while Putnam sits at a 3.7%. Smith landed at 3.4% and White County’s rate is 4.7%.
