BH had 91 stores in 10 states before it started closing them down

Forest Hills Liquidation (FH Liquidation) is coming soon to Cookeville.

“If you like great deals, you are going to love us,” the slogan says.

The liquidation store is opening in the old Bargain Hunt building at 560 S Jefferson Avenue. Discount retailer Essex Technology Group (Bargain Hunt (BH)), recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shuttered all stores, including the Cookeville location. In the petition, BH listed its assets at $10 Million with liabilities of between $50 Million and $100 million, according to a report by news.bloomberglaw.

BH had 91 stores in 10 states before it started closing them down.

Erik Crawford, the owner of FH Liquidation, also co-founded Bargain Hunt in 2000 before leaving the chain “to leave and get back to my roots of liquidation to create the best liquidation store in Middle Tennessee.”

“I am very blessed to love what I do,” says Crawford. “This is foremost because of the team I am privileged to work with every day and the customers we get to serve.”

Crawford says the goal is to create a “high energy, customer-obsessed, liquidation store, that focuses on our bi-weekly liquidation sales events.”

“This would not be possible without the incredible team we have assembled here at FH Liquidation.  We truly love our customers and want them to get the BEST deals possible while being served with exceptional customer service,” according to Crawford.

No official opening date has been announced. Check back for updates.
