In January there were 200 deeds registered with Putnam County

Putnam County – The Upper Cumberland Business Journal brings you our top 3 residential transactions in January. During the month, 200 property deeds were registered with Putnam County, down from 228 in December, but the “luxury home” market is strong, as evident in the first property on the list.

Topping the list is a five-bedroom, six-bath, 9,315-plus square foot private retreat on 45 acres inside the city limits of Cookeville at 1211 Bill Smith Road (pictured above and below) with spectacular panoramic views that sold for $5 Million. The beautiful residence offers a 16 x 33 gas-heated indoor pool room. There are formal entertainment areas, a large den on the lower level next to the inground pool, two home offices, a fully stocked private lake with a built-in pier and a newly built pole barn.
