Registration Now Open For Classes Running August Through May

(UCBJ) – The Leisure Services School of Dance’s 2026-27 dance season schedule, which runs from August through May and features instruction in ballet, modern dance, theater jazz and tap, will include several new offerings and classes for students ranging from young children to adults, according to a release

New additions this year include:

  • Intermediate Adult Ballet
  • two new tap dance classes.
  • The school offers classes beginning with Dance for Young Children programs

“Our goal is to provide quality dance education opportunities for all ages and experience levels in a welcoming, recreational environment,” according to information released by the Department of Leisure Services.

The program is designed to help students develop technique, coordination, flexibility, strength and artistic expression while fostering confidence and creativity, according to the release.

Ballet instruction ranges from beginner classes for elementary-age students to advanced technique and pre-pointe training. Adult dancers will find expanded opportunities this season as well.

The new Intermediate Adult Ballet class is designed for those with prior dance experience who want to get back in the game. Adult/Teen Ballet Technique and Performance classes provide a non-competitive environment for continued instruction. More new offerings include Tap I classes for students in grades 2-4 and a Recreational Tap for Adults course.
