South Korean adhesive manufacturer, Unitech North America, LLC to locate first U.S. facility in Tennessee, invest $30 million in Morrison

Warren County – Unitech North America, LLC will soon call Warren County home, according to an announcement by the adhesive manufacturer. The company will invest $30 million to locate its first U.S. facility in Tennessee. 

“It is an honor that Unitech has chosen Morrison to be the home of its first U.S. manufacturing facility,” said Rep. Paul Sherrell (R-Sparta/McMinnville). “This investment speaks very highly of our community and the opportunities that businesses have here to be successful. I congratulate the company on this exciting announcement and look forward to the additional jobs this project will bring to our area.” 

In phase one of the project, Unitech will create 75 new jobs in Warren County with plans to grow through future expansions.

We deeply appreciate the warm welcome and the pro-business environment that Tennessee offers,” according to  Seoungho Lee, chairman, Unitech Co., Ltd. “Our new facility here marks a significant milestone for Unitech as we venture into the high-tech electric vehicle and automotive sectors with our specialized solutions. We are confident that this strategic expansion will not only fuel our growth but also contribute to the local economy.” 

The Morrison location will specialize in the production of thermal adhesives and battery compression pads for electric vehicle battery manufacturers across the Southeast as well as industrial adhesives and sealers for its automotive customers.

Unitech North America, LLC is a subsidiary of Unitech Co., Ltd., which is headquartered in Ansan, South Korea, and is a leading manufacturer of adhesives and sealants. The expansion to Tennessee represents Unitech’s first location in the U.S. and will join the company’s other operations in Europe and Asia.
