COOKEVILLE – Buffy Key has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Key most recently held the position as the Senior Vice-President of Quality and Operations at the medical center. She received her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from East Tennessee State University and her master’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
With 30 years of healthcare experience, and 20 of those years serving at Cookeville Regional, Key has been an integral part in the quality and operational initiatives at the medical center. Key’s experience and expertise will continue to move the 247-bed regional medical center forward in their operational strategic initiatives.
“I am so honored to serve in this new role as Chief Operating Officer at CRMC. I take this responsibility to serve the patients, our community, employees, and the medical staff as one of the most rewarding and challenging of my career,” said Key.
Key is a native of Jamestown, but currently resides in Cookeville with her family. Key enjoys spending time with her family, running, camping, being on the lake, kayaking and with her dachshund, Lulu.
