Dogwood Exchange features “Furniture Paining 101” in January

CROSSVILLE – The Dogwood Exchange will feature Furniture Painting 101, a four-day furniture painting 101 class in January.  If you have a piece of furniture that you would like to re-do but not sure how to go about it – this is the class for you! Participants are invited to bring their own piece of furniture and complete it while learning the best practices for success. 

Classes will be held beginning Monday, Jan. 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the first day and continuing 8 a.m. to10 am Tuesday, Jan. 11 through Thursday, Jan. 13. This class will cover common repairs, proper cleaning, priming, painting and applying the topcoat. Students who do not finish the step taught during the class are welcome to stay after class and complete the step.

Wise Owl Paint Products will be used for the project. Students will receive a quart of primer ($37.99 value), a pint of Chalk Synthesis Paint ($24.99 value) and a pint of varnish ($29.99 value) with their $200 class registration fee.  

Class size is limited to 4 students. Students are requested to email a photo of their project piece to dogwoodexchange@gmail.com before the class starts. Students must also select a paint color prior to class starting.  Selections should be made before Jan. 3 to insure we have your selected color in stock.
