COOKEVILLE –Fans of the classic horror film “Night of the Living Dead” will be getting a Halloween treat at the Cookeville Depot Museum.
It’ll happen Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. when zombies and popcorn come together for Boo, Y’all Halloween Cinema. Admission is free.
“We wanted to make the most of the fall temperatures and have a little bit of a fright night for the more adventurous moviegoers,” said Beth Thompson, Cookeville museums manager.
The movie will be shown on the west patio, and attendees should bring lawn chairs and blankets. Popcorn and drinks will be available for $1 each.
“The depot will be decorated for a fun and spooky evening under the stars,” Thompson said. “We encourage audience members to dress up.”
“Night of the Living Dead,” a 1968 horror film directed by George Romero, follows seven people trying to survive the night in a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse under siege by a horde of the “living” dead. Parental discretion is advised.
The Cookeville Depot Museum is located at 116 W. Broad St. For more information, call 528-8570.
