CROSSVILLE – Officials with Crossville Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Curran Group, announced this week the company’s acquisition of substantially all assets belonging to CAPCO Tile & Stone LLC, a distribution business headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
With multiple locations throughout Colorado and one showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada, CAPCO will join Crossville’s existing company-owned distribution arm, Crossville Tile & Stone (CT&S), which has a presence throughout parts of the southeast U.S., Oklahoma and Texas.
According to Tim Curran, co-president of the Curran Group, a family-owned, privately help corporation, the acquisition comes as a result of a unique convergence of factors that resulted in a strong opportunity for both Crossville and CAPCO.
CAPCO officials also said no business changes were expected. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’ve built our nearly 30-year old business on an immovable commitment and loyalty to our distributors, who are truly our partners in the marketplace,” Curran said in a release. “That’s why we have never actively sought to acquire distributorships, but, instead, have been open to opportunities as they have naturally arisen and proved to be beneficial for our business and brand long term. The addition of CAPCO to our CT&S family puts all entities in a position of strength going forward.”
The acquisition of CAPCO is effectively immediately.
Crossville Inc. is headquartered in Cumberland County and is a manufacturer and distributor of porcelain stone tile for commercial and residential use.
