COOKEVILLE – Cookeville Regional Urgent Care has expanded its hours and is now open seven days a week to meet the community’s growing need for walk-in urgent care.
Located at 340 N. Cedar Ave. in Cookeville, just across from the hospital’s emergency room on the corner of Cedar Avenue and Fourth Street, Cookeville Regional Urgent Care has been open for over a year and has seen significant growth in patient volumes since opening last fall. Not only will the urgent care be open on Saturdays, but the hours have expanded to 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily.
“When we first opened, we decided to not open on Saturdays because there were several options in town for urgent care and we felt the community’s needs were being met,” states Scott Williams, Cookeville Regional Medical Center Chief Operating Officer. “Since that time, we’ve seen a steady growth in volumes at Urgent Care and have received requests from patients that we extend our hours and open on Saturdays.”
Cookeville Regional Urgent Care provides walk-in care for minor injuries and illnesses, prevention and wellness care, DOT physicals, sports physicals, and more. Lab services are also available on-site.
Providers seeing patients in the walk-in clinic are Roy Anderson, MD; nurse practitioners Maggie Bullock, FNP-C, Maria Thomas, FNP-C; Emily Gentry, FNP-C; Kayla Anderson, FNP; and Morgan Smith, FNP. Most insurance is accepted including Medicare and Medicaid.
