The Cookeville City Council has appointed Justin Cumby of Cookeville to fill the vacant two-year seat

The board of trustees at Cookeville Regional Medical Center passed a resolution at its May meeting recognizing board member Dr. Carl Owens for his years of service on the hospital board. 

Dr. Owens’ will end his time of service this month.

“I just want to take this moment to thank Mr. Owens for his service on the hospital board while he was there,” said councilman Erik Walker. “I know he has got a lot of important things in other states that takes a lot of his time and attention as well. So, we do appreciate his service while he served.”

The Cookeville City Council has appointed Justin Cumby of Cookeville to fill the vacant two-year seat beginning in June 2024. The appointment was approved unanimously. As a city owned entity, CRMC’s budget, and a CRMC board member appointment, must be approved by the Cookeville City Council.
