The property can now be shopped to businesses

Cookeville – Thursday evening the Cookeville City Council approved on second reading the rezoning of 186 South Walnut Avenue from single family residential and duplex to local commercial.

“There have been no changes to the ordinance or calls and comments,” said Cookeville Planning Director Jon Ward. He recommended approval.

Councilman Chad Gilbert mad a motion to approve before councilman Ali Bagci seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. With the designation of “local commercial,” the property can now be shopped to businesses for future use.
