COOKEVILLE — Averitt Express recently promoted Teresa Schebel and Angie Leathers to new risk management director roles. Schebel was named Director of Risk Management/Claims Management, while Leathers was named Director of Risk Management/Legal Affairs.
Schebel – who has nearly 26 years of experience with Averitt – is responsible for leading a team of associates who are focused on the areas of claims settlement and claims resolution. She most recently served as a claims leader.
Leathers, meanwhile, is an 11-year member of the Averitt team. In her new role, she is responsible for providing leadership with legal information, selecting and directing the work of outside counsel, drafting and reviewing legal agreements and ensuring Averitt stays in compliance with laws and regulations. She most recently served as Averitt’s litigation manager.
