Advance Auto Parts is a leading automotive aftermarket parts retailer

Advance Auto Parts (AAP) is opening a new location at 1058 East 10th Street Cookeville, according to the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be Thursday, April 3 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

AAP is a leading automotive aftermarket parts retailer, serving both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers,” said the Chamber. The newly built location will, of course, offer a selection of auto parts and accessories.

Those in attendance can meet the store team and explore the new facility. In 2024, AAP set a goal for long-term success, according to a release.

“During 2024, we initiated transformative actions to reposition Advance for long-term success and value creation,” said Shane O’Kelly, president and chief executive officer in a release by the company. “We strengthened our focus on the blended box by divesting non-core assets, closing non-strategic stores, and right sizing our organization. Our supply chain and merchandising teams are accelerating efforts to provide faster access to thousands of parts across our network. From a team perspective, we deployed additional resources to support our frontline team members and our customers. Additionally, we augmented our leadership team with talented executives that bring knowledge of core retail fundamentals.”

The store will be AAP’s second location in the city. The other is located at 395 S. Willow Avenue.
