COOKEVILLE – It’s a new day a for the Upper Cumberland Workforce team. The entity, which was recently absorbed by the Upper Cumberland Development District, has unveiled the new leadership team and promises greater community involvement and outreach.
Elected officials and community leaders gathered Thursday to meet the new Upper Cumberland Workforce leadership team lead by director Becky Hull.
In recent months, the workforce development program was trimmed from Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency’s roster of responsibilities and given to UCDD to manage after reports of mismanagement and poor documentation came out against UCHRA for their management of the program.
“It’s a new day for workforce development here in the Upper Cumberland,” said Putnam County Executive Randy Porter.
