Family owned business supplies custom crafted hardwood

Cookeville – Winell Lee Specialty Mouldings and Hardwoods (WLSMH) opened its doors 85 years ago. The year was 1937.

It all started when Isaac Lee opened a sawmill in Baxter before his son Winell became a partner in 1950. Five generations later, the company is still family owned in 2023. WLSMH recently hosted the community and the chamber of commerce to celebrate the longevity.

85 years in business is something to celebrate.

“This family-run business is a leading supplier of top-quality, custom-crafted hardwood materials,” said the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce. “With an integrated approach, Winell Lee handles the entire process from logging to the final product, resulting in significant cost savings for customers.”

Located at 510 W Jackson Street in Cookeville, you can visit them at winelllee.com or call 931-372-WOOD.
