Tennessee-based custom home builder to create nearly 80 new jobs in Cleveland
Nashville – Wind River Custom Homes, LLC (Wind River), a Tennessee-based custom home builder that specializes in designing and manufacturing park model RVs, will expand in Tennessee by constructing a new facility in Bradley County.
The expansion will create 77 new jobs and invest $2.5 million through the expansion and relocation of its operations from Apison to Cleveland, Tennessee. The new 92,000-square-foot facility will significantly increase the company’s current production time of 30 housing units per year as well as allow Wind River to expand into the modular home building industry.
“For nearly 10 years Wind River has been crafting our homes with a commitment to unparalleled quality, intentional design and an authentic customer experience,” said Travis Pyke, CEO and chief design officer, Wind River. “We are thrilled to continue growing our company and brand with the construction of our new manufacturing facility in Bradley County. When we decided to expand into the modular housing market, we knew we needed a location that would be conducive for transportation logistics as well as providing a strong workforce for trade skills. We found the perfect combination right here in South Cleveland, Tennessee. Having grown up in the area, I’m excited to be putting down roots that will have a positive impact in the community, in both job and career opportunities, and in fostering lasting relationships with our neighbors and local businesses.”
Wind River will employ nearly 120 Tennesseans after the project.
“Tennessee’s exceptional business climate and workforce attract and support top-notch companies, and our quality of life keeps them here. I thank Wind River for their commitment to creating greater opportunity for families in Bradley County,” said Governor Bill Lee.
